Hey folks!
I haven't had time to blog for weeks, sorry about that... I recently started taking some casual cooking lessons (at the suggestion of a couple friends) and I'm really enjoying them. President's Choice hosts several cooking lessons inside of their stores, and I've been to 3 sessions already. The photo above is from the Thai cooking lesson (fried bananas with syrup, yum!).
I'm not affiliated with PC but I enjoy these classes so much that I wanted to let you know about them. You can sign up online or in-store for the individual classes that you are interested in. Most classes are set up so you just watch the instructor cook, but you do get to eat everything which I think is pretty cool. Other classes are offered as "hand-on" lessons, but they are more expensive so I haven't gone to one of those yet.
So far I've learned how to make a few simple hors d'oeuvres, an apple tart, fried rice, pad thai, coq au vin, red bell pepper soup etc. They provide you with a copy of each recipe so you can have it for reference later on (although really the last thing I need are more recipes in my house...) and most, if not all, ingredients can be found in a Loblaws or Real Canadian Superstore.
Have you tried these classes before? Let me know what you think of them :)

You've got me very tempted to try out one of these classes! Although I think you're right, do I reeeeally need more recipes at home?
